Yasemin Özcan (1974, Istanbul) graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Department of Ceramics and Glass Design in 1997. In 2009, she attended the artist residency program at Can Xalant Center for Contemporary Art in Spain and Transfer Project in NRW Germany in 2006. 

Özcan worked with Budak Akalın for the set decoration of the movie Poyraz which was nominated for the 59th Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Category. Since 1997, her works of photography and video installations have been exhibited in Turkey, Germany, Italy and the USA, in several museums and institutions, some of which are Ludwig Forum Museum, Apex CCS Bard, ARTER, Triennale Bovisa and Bochum Museum.
