Buşra Tunç is an architect and an artist whose works focus on perception and experience in the fields of architecture, art and design. Having studied architecture, cinema and sound, Tunç’s works take “atmosphere” as their focal point. Working with industrial and everyday materials, optical units and analog instruments, Tunç often draws on structures containing remnants and memories from industrial spaces and crowded cities. 

To date, Tunç has collaborated with Pera Museum, Massimiliano Fuksas and Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade. Her main site-specific projects are; Suruhu, Nakilbent Cistern, Istanbul (2015); Oculus, MSFAU Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Centre, Istanbul (2016), and Majaz (Buyuk Valide Khan, Istanbul (2017). Tunc also took part in a spatial video work in the exhibition Re/Framing Louis Kahn, Pera Museum, Istanbul (2017); and in Remix, Akbank Sanat, Istanbul (2018) and Parajanov, with Sarkis (Pera Museum, 2019) exhibitions in various roles in architectural design.
