Elif Ersavcı was born in Ankara in 1982. She graduated from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Boğaziçi University. Authors whose works she has translated into Turkish include J. G. Ballard, John Steinbeck, Terry Eagleton, Toni Morrison, Neil Gaiman, J. M. Coetzee, Ray Bradbury, Adam Phillips, Elizabeth Strout and Rachel Cusk.
