ÇIN: Book Launch and Talk

Presented by artist Cevdet Erek at the last year's International Art Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia in the Pavilion of Turkey, ÇIN continues its journey with a book by the same title. ÇIN, the book, will be introduced in this public event on Tuesday, 27 February at the lodge of Yapı Kredi Cultural Centre.

The book launch will see a conversation between artist Cevdet Erek, designer of the book Yetkin Başarır, and the Pavilion of Turkey Coordinator as well as International Projects Manager of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) Tuna Ortaylı Kazıcı. The video documentation of the pavilion by Ali Taptık will be shown for the first time at the talk to be attended also by other members of the project team.

The book follows a flow of exclusive photographs and diagrams, accompanied by a text titled ‘To repeat oneself,’ which was also handed out at the venue for the course of the biennial, and various others published elsewhere to date. Designed by Yetkin Başarır and with photographs by Ali Kabaş, the book is published by İKSV and distributed by Yapı Kredi Publications in Turkey.
