Ahmet Öğüt, one of two artists who represented Turkey in one of the most prestigious art events in the world, Venice Biennial, works in Amsterdam and Istanbul. Between the years of 2007-2008, he was the guest artist at Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten for two years in the residency program and he also had solo exhibitions in Artspace Visual Arts Centre in Sydney, Berkley Museum, MATRIX program of Pacific Film Archive BAM/PFA, and Kunsthalle Basel. His group exhibitions include Performa 09, 3rd Visual Arts and Performance Biennial, 5th Berlin Biennial, and 9th International Istanbul Biennial. In Cité des Arts’ Turkey Season, the artist worked on 3 different exhibitions in Marseille and Paris, and made new video and photography projects in Paris.
