Tayfun Serttaş is participating in the art residency program at Cité International des Arts between January-March 2014. The selection of the artists who are invited to the residency program is made by a committee of seven with the coordination of IKSV and is conducted with an open call system. The residency program, which was developed by Çelenk Bafra and Banu Dicle from Simit Association will continue until 2029 without any interruption.

Visual artist, writer and researcher Tayfun Serttaş, born in 1982, lives in Istanbul and Bodrum. He graduated from the Istanbul University, Social Anthropology Department in 2004. He completed his masters at the Yıldız Technical University, Art and Design Faculty Interdisciplinary Art program in 2007 with a thesis titled "Photography And Minorities In Istanbul In The Context Of Modernism And Cultural Representation". He participated in artist residency programs as AIF Residency Program, Arab Image Foundation, Beirut (2011), Accented Residency Program, The Delfina Foundation, London (2010), Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center, Istanbul (2009). Recent solo exhibitions include "Foto Galatasaray" FOAM, Amsterdam (2013), "Bazan" Pilevneli Project, İstanbul (2012), "Middle East Airlines" ArtSumer, İstanbul (2012), "Foto Galatasaray", SALT Galata, İstanbul (2011), "ReMap 3", Kalfayan Gallery, Athens (2011), "Souvenir Trauma" Zico House, Beirut (2011), "Tailor's Dream M&M" Apartment Project, İstanbul (2011), "Studio Osep", Delfina Foundation, London (2010). In November 2009 he published his first book, "Studio Osep", and in November 2011 his second book titled "Galatasaray - Studio Practice by Maryam Şahinyan".

Located in Paris, Cité Internationale des Arts gives 350 artists, whom it accommodates at the same time, the chance to stay at individually assigned workshops from two months to one year. With its exhibition halls, rehearsal studios, concert and performance venues, along with its various workshops, Cité des Arts gives the artists the opportunity to improve themselves and actively create.
