The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) celebrates its 40th year with a world premier long to be remembered. Combing music and movement in a creative way in each of their shows and known for their original and striking performances, the world-renowned Catalan company La Fura Del Baus is coming to Istanbul in June for its new project commissioned for the 40th year of İKSV. Having staged more than 3000 performances in 250 cities to an audience of over three million people with breathtaking visual invention and courage, La Fura dels Baus will take Istanbulites on a journey stretching from the past to the future.
We are looking for 80 young volunteers who want to take part in this unique performance to be held in Haliç Camialtı Shipyard on June 21 and 22.
Candidates who will apply for the Istanbul, Istanbul performance should be able to;
- Make movements at a certain height and in suspended position during Human Net, Uroboro and Placenta performances,
- Move a variety of giant puppets,
- Dance on high platforms.
Candidates should;
- Not have a fear of heights
- Participate to the rehearsals that will be held between June 15 and 20, and to the performances that will be held on June 21 and 22.
- Be over 18 and under 30 years of age.
Working with young people in all of their open-air performances held across the world, the company is seeking young people who will take part in this magnificent performance in Istanbul and open to new and exciting experiences. Experience in dance, circus, performance arts, rock climbing, mountaineering etc. is of preference. On the other hand, first and foremost, participants are expected to be excited and confident, rather than having a similar project experience before.
A payment of 75 TL will be made to participants for their daily expenses and one meal will be offered during the rehearsals.
