Besides teaching playwriting and theater theory courses in theater departments Beliz Güçbilmez authored books on theater and narrative theory and plays. Her plays have been performed at state and city theatres as well as independent theaters. 

For the past five years, she has been organizing workshops for writers and readers, and she continues to work on and teach her "Magnetic Field Method" derived from structure of fictions. Her works include Time/Space/Appearance: The Theatrical Representation of the Past, and Irony and Drama; her plays include Othello: Audience Revenge Rehearsal, Noises in My Head, Desert Game, and Frida.
