Based on the true story of the champion brothers, The Iron Claw, starring Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson will be screened at IKSV Galas on 7 March for a very special avant-premiere before the theatrical release!

The Iron Claw, tells the emotionally charged story of the Von Erich family –aka the Kennedys of the sports world, the rock stars of American wrestling – who defined an era in American wrestling (NWA, WCWA).

The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

The Iron Claw is written and directed by talented director Sean Durkin, known for Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest and Dead Ringers.

Inspired by Raging Bull and The Deer Hunter, Sean Durkin says, "The Iron Claw is not a film about grief and pain, but about the consequences of ignoring pain, about family, father-son relationships and siblings."

The fight scenes in the film were shot live in front of the audience in one take. The film's soundtrack was composed by Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire. The world premiere of The Iron Claw was held in Dallas in November 2023. The Iron Claw was included in the Top Ten Films of 2023 list of the National Board of Review and selected the Best Cast.
