Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall

Led by conductor Gurer Aykal, Istanbul Sinfoniette gave a concert on Saturday evening, May 15 at 8 PM at the Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall within the scope of the "Encouragement Concert Series" realised with the leadership of Gurer Aykal. The concert was organised within the framework of 9 May Europe Day Activities held under the auspices of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis. With these concerts, people who have different professional backgrounds and an amateur interest in music had the opportunity to share the same stage with professional musicians.

Prof. Kemal Inan served as the Chairman for the Electrical Engineering Department of METU, and is also a member of TUBITAK's Science Council and the founding dean of Sabanci University's Engineering and Natural Sciences Faculty. In 2004, with Aida Boydag, Prof.Kemal Inan resumed his violin playing which he had left during the 1960s. Aida Boydag has a master's degree on violin performance from MIAM (Centre for Advanced Studies in Music) and is still a member of the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and the CRR Symphonic Orchestra.
