The latest İKSV Gala film is Luc Besson's big-budget space opera which follows Valerian and Laureline, two special agents who fight against dark forces crossing both time and space. "Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets" is stunning action sci-fi an with extraordinary visual universe, and comes 20 years after Besson's huge success, "The Fifth Element".
Written, produced, and directed by Luc Besson, "Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets" stars Dane DeHaan as Valerian, Cara Delevingne as Laureline, Clive Owen as Commander Arün Filitt, and Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, and Rihanna in other roles. The film's soundtrack is composed by Alexandre Desplat.
"Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets" is adapted to cinema from "Valérian et Laureline", France's most popular sci-fi comics series, written by Pierre Christin and drawn by Jean-Claude Mézières, who had also designed many of "The Fifth Element"s conceptual drawings.
"Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets" will be screened on 24 July, and the tickets will be available for purchase as of 14 July Friday 14.00, at Biletix, main box office İKSV.
Those with tickets to the screening are also invited to the "See You In Space" after party at Klein Garten.
