Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre

World-renown Japanese drumming troupe KODO met with Istanbulite music lovers in a concert organized by İKSV. The band performed two shows on Monday, June 15 and on Tuesday, June 16 at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre with the media sponsorship of e2 and Radio Voyage 107.4.

KODO came to Istanbul with its team of 25 people and their new show Ekkyo: Trans-border which was performed outside of Japan for the first time, was highly appreciated and widely acclaimed.

Having a name that means both "heartbeat" and also "children of the drum," KODO troupe have given over 3 thousand performances in 44 countries since 1981.

KODO, which came to Istanbul in 1998 for the 5. International Jazz Festival, met again with their fans after 11 years.
