Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) has allocated funds from its 2023 budget and launched the İKSV Instrument Support Fund for the Earthquake to provide instruments to music students and instructors affected by the earthquake disaster in February.

The project, which was realised in collaboration with doremusic and Zuhal Music, is also supported by Pozitif Music, while Sala Music, Cangöz Music and Keylan Music also contribute with their valuable collaborations.

The fund is being expanded with the contributions of other institutions and organisations in a way that all eligible applicants will benefit.

The contribution of ticket revenues from the "Music for Solidarity" concerts organised by Pozitif at Babylon between 23 March and 15 April 2023, featuring 33 artists and bands, was transferred to the fund.

Sivil Toplum İçin Destek Vakfı, Turkey Mozaik Foundation and Paribu are among the organizations contributing to the İKSV Instrument Support Fund. Institut Français, one of the institutions supporting the fund, organised a solidarity concert in collaboration with İKSV on 6 July at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall which Orchestre National de Metz accompanied pianist Can Çakmur, and the proceeds of the concert, supported by TEB and TotalEnergies Turkey, was donated to the Instrument Support Fund.

Furthermore, through İKSV's international collaborations, Youth Bridge Turkey-Germany and the Association of German Music Schools organised a donation campaign to provide 45 instruments from the Düsseldorf region. These instruments have been received in Turkey and distribution is underway together with the supporting music companies.

With the support of The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, instruments were provided to 8 music students from Kahramanmaraş.
