Sponsored by Borusan Holding since 2006, İstanbul Music Festival was this year held between June 3-30. Celebrating its 38th anniversary in 2010, the Festival welcomed more than 600 artists from Turkey and abroad in İstanbul, including one of the most important composers of the century Arvo Pärt, star pianist Lang Lang, and a touchstone in European classical music tradition the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

A total of 21 concerts were held in this year's İstanbul Music Festival, including performances by symphony and chamber orchestras, vocal performances, recitals and jazz renditions. The festival venues included Haliç Congress Centre in addition to Hagia Eirene Museum, Archaeological Museum, Enameled Kiosk, and Süreyya Opera House. Realised in the most important historical venues of İstanbul, the 38th International İstanbul Music Festival was followed by 20.000 viewers.

The International İstanbul Music Festival will meet music enthusiasts of İstanbul, once again in June next year.
