A love story in 33 Beatles songs… When Jude meets Lucy after leaving Liverpool for New York in search of his father, he finds himself in the middle of a life brimming over with rock’n roll and anti-war protest. Jude and Lucy become part of the era’s anti-war spirit, traveling from the ever inspiring streets of Greenwich Village to Detroit, where the streets are awash in protest flags, accompanied by their guides “Dr. Robert” (Bono) and “Mr. Kite” (Eddie Izzard). But when Jude’s brother Max heads to Vietnam, the rose colored glasses come off, and the couple is forced to tackle other realities. According to the director, this film is not just a nostalgic and romantic love story, but a story that questions world order as we know it, and a story that most certainly has a contemporary equivalent.
