American underground garage rock duo The White Stripes toured Canada in 2007, playing every province and territory, from big cities like Toronto to Prince Edward Island to the far reaches of the landscape, "from the ocean to the permafrost," and they also captured their great Northern adventure on tape. And Jack and Meg White didn't just stick to concert halls. The Canadian tour was also marked by frequent small "secret shows" such as at a bowling alley in Saskatoon, a youth centre in Edmonton, a Winnipeg Transit bus, the YMCA in downtown Toronto. This high-speed documentary includes The White Stripes' live performances at these secret shows, off-stage footage shot at their unique Canadian tour, and hints of the duo's intimate relationship.
