Berlin-born legendary Hollywood cinematographer Michael Ballhaus, who was the Golden Tulip Jury president in 2008, together with Argentine co-director and cinematographer Ciro Cappellari trace the changes that have taken place in Berlin since the fall of the Berlin Wall back in 1989. "Berlin is vibrant and in movement. It is constantly changing," Ballhaus says, and throughout the film, local celebrities and the general public help him capture a unique insight into the lives of local Berliners provide a point of view on the city. More than a mere documentary, this is a love letter to a fascinating international metropolis and its people.
