The second instalment of Cemal Şan's "Soul, Mind & Heart" trilogy that started with Zeynep's Eight Days, is structured around the "soul". The eponymous hero of the film lives in a poor village in the southeast of Turkey with her parents and siblings, dreaming to marry Ali, her childhood sweetheart. However Ali's father has made arrangements for someone else to marry Ali. Defying this arrangement, Dilber announces that she will marry her first suitor. A man approaches the village, limping. He is Mehmet, who has heard that a young woman in the village will marry her first suitor.
