The symposium entitled “What is European Culture?” inaugurates a series of symposia to take place in İstanbul in 2009 and 2010. Concentrating on the issue of European identity in an atmosphere of increasing cultural diversity within the context of the Enlargement of the European Union, the symposium took place at The Marmara Hotel İstanbul, on 13, 14 and 15 November.
