"SLEEPLESS NIGHT" AT THE İSTANBUL BIENNIAL
The 10th International İstanbul Biennial, in co-operation with the French Cultural Center – İstanbul and with the contributions of the Municipality of Paris and Cultures France, brings to Istanbul for the first time, the "Sleepless Night" programme on the night of October 6, Saturday: Many arts centers will be open during the night!
As part of this program, Antrepo No.3, one of the main venues of the 10th İstanbul Biennial, will be open to visitors until 04.00. The biggest surprise of the "Sleepless Night" Program will be the live performance of DANdadaDAN that will begin at 22.30 at Antrepo No.3.
The DANdadaDAN concert will be a part of the special "Soundborders" Project by the Biennial artist Alexandre Perigot with the support of the Municipality of Paris and under the special project sponsorship of Bilsar/Fred Perry. Your Biennial ticket will be just enough to join and enjoy this spectacular event.
Another event of the "Sleepless Night" program will take place at 20.30 on October 6, Saturday on the wall of the parking lot (near Gezi Pastanesi) at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM): The Nightcomers video screening.
Organised for the first time in 2002 by the Municipality of Paris in Paris, the "Sleepless Night" program was also adopted by many of the world’s cultural capitals, including Rome, Madrid, Brussels, Montreal, Naples, Shanghai, Tel Aviv and Toronto, and it is coming to İstanbul for the first time on the night of October 6, Saturday . It’s an open invitation to all art-lovers to rediscover the city of İstanbul.
The Biennial tickets are available at www.biletix.com and Biletix Sales Points, as well as Antrepo No.3, Atatürk Cultural Center, İKSV building (İstiklal C. 64 Beyoğlu) and the Biennial Information Desk (İstiklal C. 181). Regular ticket prices are 10 YTL. Tickets for primary school students, high-school students, senior citizens (aged +65), teachers and members of the International Plastic Arts Association are 5 YTL.
