In 2011, a special publication with an archival significance was prepared on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Istanbul Film Festival. Thirty features reviews by 20 directors of new Turkish cinema, who has recently garnered international achievements, on one of the films they had seen at the festival that is influential in their career, as well as essays by local and international film critics and interviews on the thirty-years-long journey of the festival. The book also includes portraits of the 20 directors, taken at different corners of cinema halls around the Beyoğlu district, by photographer Muhsin Akgün.
