Gözde İlkin (1981, Kütahya) constructs forms of confrontational interactions within the motifs of found domestic fabrics, especially referring to what is social and political, relationships, manipulation, borders, power issues, gender attitudes and urban transformation by using mainly stitching, drawing, painting as well as photography, video and sound installations. 

İlkin's solo shows include The Trap, Gypsum, Cairo (duo-2016); Stained Estate, Françoise Heitsch Gallery, Munich (2015), and Please Clear the Dance Floor, artSümer, Istanbul (2010). Selected group shows include Muscle Memory, Kunstraum Kreuzberg-Bethanien, Berlin (2017); Spaceliner, Arter, Istanbul (2015); no one belongs here more than you, 54th October Salon, Belgrade (2013) and Hyper Real. The Passion of the Real in Painting and Photography, MUMOK, Vienna (2010).
