Gökçen Cabadan (1980, Izmir) graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University in 2009 and completed her master’s degree in Gent Royal Academia (KASK) in the field of Multimedia.

Cabadan believes that the artwork can only be open to communication by centralizing the artist in the aftermath of the modern concept, in which the most important reality is the experience. Cabadan’s art transforms almost into a self-portrait in every meaning. In an era in which it is almost impossible to find ourselves, the artist insists on following the aesthetic theorem which surfaced after romanticism. Without Landscape, Galerie Anne Mertens, Leuven (2010); Kara Kutu, NON, Istanbul (2009); Progeria, Galerist, Istanbul (2008) are artist’s solo exhibitions. Her group exhibitions include Beyaz Kaos, Kunsthaus Erfurt, Germany (2010); Time Challenger, Hisk, Gent, Belgium (2009); Sonsuz Olasılıklar, Kasa Galeri, Istanbul (2007); Netwerk, Centrum voor Hedendaagse Kunst, Aalst, Belgium (2007), and Kutu, V1, Germany (2006).
