Born in 1987 in Diyarbakır, lives and works in Istanbul. Deniz Aktaş graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department in 2010. He is currently a graduate student at Yeditepe University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Plastic Arts. His work touches upon the themes of memory and migration, with a special interest in the city and sceneries of the city.
