Ahmet Öğüt was the guest artist at Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten for two years in the residency program between the years of 2007-2008 and he also had solo exhibitions in Artspace Visual Arts Centre in Sydney, Berkley Museum, MATRIX program of Pacific Film Archive BAM/PFA, and Kunsthalle Basel. His group exhibitions include Performa 09, 3rd Visual Arts and Performance Biennial, 5th Berlin Biennial, and 9th International Istanbul Biennial. In Cité des Arts’ Turkey Season, the artist worked on three different exhibitions in Marseille and Paris, and made new video and photography projects in Paris. Öğüt is one of two artists who represented Turkey in one of the most prestigious art events in the world, Venice Biennial.
